Our Company
It was the early 1960s when Domenico Di Berardino and Romola Girasole, a determined and enterprising young couple, fell in love with the local tradition of leatherworking. In a small artisan workshop they created their first pieces: finely crafted leather handbags, carefully finished in every detail, designed for women looking for a classic, elegant product.
The passion was handed down from father to children and, in the early 1980s, siblings Diana, Mara and Roberto founded the company that still bears the family name today, carrying on a tradition deeply rooted in our region. Under their guidance the small workshop grew into a company able to offer ever more complete services, in step with a constantly evolving market.
Always seeking the balance between tradition and innovation, Pelletteria Di Berardino keeps alive the essential values of Made in Italy: the creative value of the human touch and meticulous attention to quality and detail.
The true star of our products is leather: sourced from the finest Italian hides, full grain only, tanned exclusively with vegetable tannins and worked using rigorous artisan techniques. A soft, supple leather with a warm, natural look, combined with solid satin-brass hardware, sturdy stitching and cotton linings. Products made to last: time will only make them better, adding value and character.

Our History
1950
Our company’s roots go back to the 1950s, when Domenico Di Berardino started producing leather goods: first belts and later women’s handbags.
1980
Between the mid and late 1980s the next generation joined the company and took over its management.
1990
In the early 1990s we chose to specialise in professional, travel and gift items, using exclusively Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
1996
Building on the success of our choices, we moved into a larger, modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment to raise our quality standards even further.
2010
The expansion of our sales network made us an established name in Italy and opened the way abroad: by 2010 our products were already distributed in key markets such as Northern Europe and Japan.
2018
We launched our online shop, reaching customers beyond traditional distribution channels.
Today
The tradition continues: a new online store, the same artisan care as always and the passion of a family that has been working leather for three generations.
